Land of the Gods and Rivers: Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve

Inherent in district Chandrapur of Maharashtra, the Sanctuary is the state’s principal and premium tiger conservancy exertion.

Tropical Dry Forest with deciduous vegetation, the National Park is rich in varied flora, fauna, and animals like swamp Alligators, Sloth Bear, Chital, Leopard, Chausingha, etc. besides Tigers.

Seasons to Visit: In hot summers during April to May or in cold winters from October onwards. Pre and post monsoons are the perfect seasons to see the animals, especially the tigers.

Though the wet season is not an ideal time to encounter the temperamental beasts, nonetheless, they might just grace you with their glimpse!

Connectivity: Chandrapur is well linked through rail and road network. For air travellers, Nagpur has the nearest airport with cab facilities till the reserve.

Accommodation:Maharashtra Tourism, Forest Development Authority, and several private resorts like Resort Royal Tiger, Irai Safari Retreat, etc., provide the travellers with a wide variety of options based on their budget.

Surrounding Area: A 4-day trip would be model to cover the Sanctuary and all its surrounding neighbours like Nagzira Wildlife Sanctuary, Pench National Park, Nagpur city, lakes, and temples. 

Mowgli’s Playground: Kanha National Park

Madhya Pradesh’s pride is Asia’s most well sustained National Park. The state has been historically inclined towards the preservation of the natural predators and their habitat. The Park has been effective since 1955, and it joined Project Tiger in 1974!

Positioned amongst the beauteous Halon Valley and Banjar Hills in the Mandla district, the Reserve is known for saving the rare Swamp Deer.

Blackbuck, Chital, Sambhar, Leopard, Jackal, Fox, Jungle cats, are but a few creatures you’d see prancing around its meadows.

Looming Bamboo and Sal trees, lush grasslands, and untamed speckled faunae compelled Rudyard Kipling to spin a fantastical tale of a man-cub!

Seasons to Visit: Summers and winters are ideal seasons for a wilderness expedition.

Except for the Kisli access point (buffer zone near Mocha village), the Reserve shuts its gates during monsoons from July till mid-October.

Jungle Safari: Entry during the season is through Kisli, Kanha, Mukki, and Sarhi Zones. Each zone permits a limited number of vehicles per day

 No trips are conducted on Wednesdays. The tour timings and durations are as per Government directive.

 The charges are different for Indian and foreign visitors.

 Connectivity: The National Park is well allied through Air, Rail, and Road system. Jabalpur being the nearest location with both trains as well as air connections.

 Accommodation: Kanha accommodates to all budgets and tastes.

 Surrounding Area: Plana 4-day trip to Kanha and visit Bandhavgarh National Park, Pench National Park, Tadoba Tiger Reserve, and Jabalpur city.

 Bamni Dadar, the sunset point and Kanha Museum of tribal culture should not be missed!

 These Wild Life Sanctuaries are just a small example of the abundance mother nature has bestowed upon us! Watching the creatures of the wild roaming free in their natural environment is an unmissable experience, and one to be cherished.
