A $13 million renovation has recently been completed on the lobby and the hotel’s signature restaurant, Dust Cutter. But this isn’t it. Many more upgrades are anticipated for the upcoming years.

Cut Some Time at Dust Cutter

Dust Cutter is the hotel’s new modern urban saloon located in the lobby. The hotel manager, Jon Erickson names this restaurant as his favorite space within the entire property. Erickson explains, “This venue delivers a one-of-a-kind experience in downtown Phoenix.”

With the newly renovated spaces, the hotel’s new chic vibe makes it one of the “it” hotels to stay at in downtown Phoenix. The new renovations include unique design influences, art, one-of-a-kind chandeliers and light fixtures.

Design and renovation are at the very forefront of the hotel’s list of priorities. Revamping the property serves as the hotel’s direct approach at enhancing the experience of all its clients.

Ideas are consistently thrown around in-house, in search of the next unique design project that will elevate the hotel’s ability in catering to its guests’

How do you think Melinda’s Alley came about? Melinda’s Alley is the hotel’s Speak Easy. It was once voted as one of the top 10 Dark Bars in Phoenix.

Erickson says, “We have just begun our ‘Next Best Idea’ process for 2017. This was how we created Melinda’s Alley. You never know what will happen when you challenge 40 Managers to think outside the box and give them a sum of money to bring it to life.”

The next renovation project will take place in the summer time, focusing on the 24 corner suites. New carpet will be rolled out in all meeting spaces.

Netflix Awaits Your Next Hotel Stay

Guests can look forward to watching programs from their personal Netflix accounts, along with access to many other web-based services. This is all part of the new entertainment platform the hotel plans to launch with its revamping of their 500+ TVs.

Erickson explains, “We must continue to enhance our Wi-Fi bandwidth to keep up with the needs of the millennial traveler. We are improving our in-room entertainment package to give the desired platforms to today’s travelers and our guests. “
